Kish Island is one of the islands of the Persian Gulf and one of the parts of Kish district, Bandar Lengeh city in Hormozgan province and one of the sights of Hormozgan province in the south of Iran. In the past, it was known as Qais. The shape of this island is oval and it is located 12 km off the coast of Shibkuh. Kish Island leads from the north to the annexed territory of Iran, from the east to the Strait of Hormuz, from the south to the United Arab Emirates and from the west to Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. On average, more than 1.7 million tourists visit the coral island annually.
